NOVI, Mich. — Sept. 25, 2017 — Stoneridge, Inc., a leader in highly engineered electrical and electronic components for the commercial vehicle and automotive industry, hosted its first global supplier update and recognition event on Sept. 21, hosting suppliers from around the world at its headquarters in Novi, Mich.

“We believe it’s valuable to treat our suppliers as an integral part of our success, and therefore, each should understand our mission, products and what we want to achieve over the next year,” said Jon DeGaynor, President and CEO, Stoneridge.

The Supplier Summit afforded suppliers a closer look at the technologies offered by Stoneridge as well as better understanding of Stoneridge’s purchasing and other supplier strategies. Suppliers had the opportunity to explore new innovations featured live on Stoneridge’s full-size, display-ready Innovation Truck. The Class-8 truck is equipped with the Stoneridge MirrorEye™ mirror replacement system, EZ-ELD™ electronic logging device and the TopEye camera monitor system.

“Equally important, the summit gives us an opportunity to say, ‘Thank you’ in-person to our global partners and acknowledge their contributions to the achievements of our company,” said DeGaynor.

Stoneridge conferred its first Pinnacle Awards representing several areas of supplier excellence and contributions to Stoneridge.

Companies in attendance that were recognized include:

  • Infineon Technologies AG – Innovation Award Winner
  • Promax Engineering LLC – Program Launch Award Winner
  • BOE Varitronix Ltd – Cost Reduction Award Winner
