NOVI, Mich. — March 22, 2018 — In order to better serve its customers, Stoneridge, Inc. announced today at the 2018 Mid America Trucking Show (MATS) the launch of 24/7 technical support for Stoneridge EZ-ELD®.

Through increased service hours and support staff, company product experts are readily available to support drivers and fleet managers with the installation, use, and navigation of the EZ-ELD device and accompanying smartphone app. By increasing support to 24/7 availability, Stoneridge offers support to drivers who may require assistance outside of traditional business hours.

“We have listened to our customers’ feedback and are constantly seeking ways to improve our products and service to better meet the needs of drivers and managers during the implementation of ELDs,” said Stuart Adams, Business Unit Manager, NA Aftermarket, Stoneridge. “Stoneridge is committed to going the extra mile by adding trained staff members to provide 24-hour technical support. And unlike others who may charge a premium for this service, we offer it to all customers at no extra cost. We are committed to our customers and are here to support them – our obligations don’t stop after we’ve sold a device.”

The ELD mandate, affecting more than three million commercial vehicle drivers, is intended to help create a safer work environment for drivers and increase efficiency in tracking hours of service (HOS) data. Starting April 1, full enforcement of the rule will be in effect, requiring all drivers to have their vehicle equipped with an ELD. Drivers who do not comply by this deadline are at risk of being assigned Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) points and issued out-of-service citations upon a roadside inspection.

MATS attendees visiting the Stoneridge booth can take advantage of an EZ-ELD show special; Purchase an annual EZ-ELD software subscription for $150 and receive a free device. To learn more about Stoneridge EZ-ELD, visit Booth #61076 at the Mid America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky on March 22-24.
